To practice massage in Mississippi, students must graduate from a Mississippi State Board of Massage Therapy (MSBMT)
approved school. Healing Touch School of Massage Therapy is both registered with the National Certification Board and the
MSBMT. After successful program completion of 766 clock hours, our students take a Board Comprehensive Examination
approved by the MSBMT. This exam is included in our tuition fees. After passing the Comprehensive Board Exam, the
students will be graduates of Healing Touch School of Massage and eligible to apply for MSBMT registration as a Massage
Therapist to legally work in the State of Mississippi. Students must pay the cost of their license.
Our program consists of both classroom and modular course work in massage training, as well as an internship outside of
class at school. Both course and internship run consecutively. This education trains students to be experienced entry-level
therapists in massage clinics or day spa settings upon graduation.
Classroom hours consist of lecture, discussion, demonstrations and hands-on practice in a wide variety of massage
techniques. Students pair up and practice while instructors provide one-on-one guidance. This environment assists in
students developing their massage skills, desirable habits and attitudes.
